L & A Certified CPR


THE PROGRAM’S PURPOSE 

The primary purpose for this program and the American Red Cross CPR/ AED/ First Aid training is to guide participants to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aide emergencies. Successfully completing the courses in the program participants will have the knowledge and skills that are needed to give immediate care to a person who appears to be injured or ill and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. This program offers a choice of first aid, CPR and AED courses to meet the various training needs of a diverse audience.


TAKE A CLASS TODAY & GET CERTIFIED!

On successful completion of a course in the First Aid/CPR/AED program, participants receive American Red Cross certification specific to the course they completed.

To successfully complete a course in the First Aid/CPR/AED program, the participant must:

■ Attend and participate in all class sessions.

■ Participate in all course activities.

■ Demonstrate competency in all required skills.

■ Successfully complete the Putting It All Together Assessment Scenario(s).

Skill Competency
To complete the course requirements and receive a completion certificate, a participant must be able to complete all required skills proficiently without any coaching or assistance. A participant’s performance is proficient or not proficient based on the performance of the critical components of a skill that are necessary to meet the objective.


The care steps are consistent with the 2015 International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Consensus on Science with Treatment Recommendations for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 American Heart Association and American Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.
